Baby in the pool

Wow, Fiona does love the water.
My dad sent me these pictures of little Fi and I in the pool at Karin's house.
I had my back to the water and I was watching Fiona on my dad's lap. All of the sudden people got in the pool and started splashing. Fiona would not take her eyes off all the fun in the pool so I got her in her swimsuit and jumped in with her.

Michigan trip - Alma visit and Jesse's wedding

Last weekend we saw some friends in Alma on Thursday and Friday, then went to Jesse's wedding on Saturday. It was a great weekend all around. Sorry for the lack of narrative, but I have a short window of time -- Dave is at work and Fiona is napping. Oops, they're in reverse order. Just look at them from the bottom up.

a relaxing Sunday with some friends

Our friends Paul and Xi invited us for lunch on Sunday at their house. They cooked authentic Chinese food for us that was so delicious! After lunch Fiona took a very long nap and the grown ups played cards. Shannon and I played Candyland and colored with markers. Shannon was so good with Fiona too, and it's obvious that she likes babies. She will have a new little brother in about a month, and he will be in the same "grade" as Fiona (although that's a very long way off!) Thanks for the photos, and the nice lunch!

Weekend in the D

On Saturday morning we drove up to Clawson, Michigan to hang out at Aunt Karin's house for her birthday. Todd was the grillmaster, so there was lots of good stuff to eat. We celebrated the anniversary of Karin's 29th birthday again. :) Fiona got to swim in Karin's pool (sorry, there aren't any photos because Jen was playing Rock Band with the nephews while Dave took her for a swim.) Fiona took a nap on her grandma's lap too. On Sunday Dave went fishing with Don, Christine and with his dad. Fiona and I went to Royal Oak and met Adrienne and Kyle who were on their way to Kalamazoo. We had brunch at a crepe restaurant and got to chat and catch up on life. Adrienne just got back from an internship in Africa, Kyle got a new position supervising at her job and neither one had met Fiona yet. It was nice to catch up with those girls!
